Manifesto
Back in university, I had a conversation with a fellow student about why so many designers avoid writing personal statements. It's safer to blend in, follow trends, and never risk being too edgy. Or worse, cringe. Then he dared me to write one anyway. So I did. This manifesto is the result.
Every artist suffers under the myth of style. We search for it, doubt ourselves without it, measure our worth against it.
Style means nothing. It’s just a tool. A temporary language to carry a message. Style can be borrowed, stolen, imitated. Now even automated. That doesn’t matter. Because style is not who you are. To chase a single style is to cage yourself. You are not a style. A style is just one voice, you are the whole language.
Good cannot be rushed. Good cannot be faked. The only shortcut is discipline. The only trick is to start. The only requirement is to do it for yourself. And the only one who can truly be good is the one brave enough to question what "good" even means.
I aspire to inspire.
Fame, praise and admiration are fleeting. The real magic is planting ideas in others, igniting creativity, and watching it return transformed. To inspire is to give. To receive is to grow. I make to explore, to question, to delight. Art is a playground, not a scoreboard. Joy, surprise, and curiosity are my compass. This is why I create.
Take nothing here as gospel.
I’m just a humble artist approaching my 30s... and overhinking things. If it makes you pause, smile, or reconsider something, then it has done its job. Challenge me if you feel like it, or just nod along. Either way, thanks for stopping by.
